PDGA National Tour Arrives in Tulsa
This weekend marks the first National Tour event to be held in beautiful Tulsa Oklahoma. Tournament Director Wayne Forest has assembled a staff of old and new faces in order to fit the bill for what is shaping up to be quite a début.

Tulsa is a disc golf Mecca with twelve courses in roughly ten miles of the city. From short to long, open to tight, Tulsa has a selection that is sure to test your focus, skill, and endurance. The Tulsa Disc Sports Association (TDSA) is in the process of doing a complete renovation of Riverside Park and Hunter Park has been approved for some tee-pad work. Needless to say, we take pride in our courses and strive to make them look as best they can, but with Oklahoma weather, course maintenance is a nonstop undertaking. Volunteers have been steadily working away and are improving the courses every day.
So far there are a few big names including David Feldberg, Avery Jenkins, Coda Hatfield, and Kevin McCoy amongst a host of others. The competition will be fierce as the player’s battle their way through Kevin McCoy’s masterpiece designs on Redhawk and Blackhawk which play around Mohawk Park, currently listed as America’s 35 largest municipal park at 2,820 acres.
This is yet another building block for what will surely be one of America’s favorite disc golf destinations for many years to come. We here in Tulsa eagerly await the arrival of this event and hope that we can invite everyone down here again to share in what we are sure is one of America’s best disc golf destinations and the Original Disc Golf Mecca!
