Bowling Green Open
The second stop on the PDGA National Tour kicks off this weekend in Bowling Green, KY for the 2008 Bowling Green Open. Hosted by the Bowling Green Disc Golf Club, Scott McFarland, tournament director, and his hard working staff are anticipating another top notch event this year. Over 80 competitors have pre-registered as of Thursday morning. If you want to know who will be competing you can view the registration list here.

The format for this year’s event will have the competitors play one round each on four of the most challenging and popular courses in the Southeast - Lovers Lane, Ephram White, Hobson Grove and Kereiakes. The final nine will feature the top men and top women going for their respective titles at Lovers Lane Park on Sunday afternoon.
In addition to singles competition, at 5:00pm CDT Thursday, Pro-Celebrity Doubles at Kereiakes will take place. Also come out to Nat's Disc Golf Course at Phil Moore Park on Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm CDT for a FREE clinic presented by the PDGA that will feature Touring Players Jay and Des Reading, Dave Feldberg and Avery Jenkins. You will be instructed by the U.S. Putting Champion, 3 Time World Champion, U.S. Champion and U.S. Distance Champion, respectively. What a great group to lead this event! The clinic is open to the public so please bring the kids and any beginners you can round up. There will also be a Spectator raffle after Sunday's Final 9 at 3:30pm CDT.
